The UVA filter in LIFE DEFENCE is Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane
UVA rays are 30 to 50 times stronger than UVB rays. They are known to cause damage at all levels of the epidermis resulting in premature skin ageing, and are a contributor of deep lines and wrinkles. Found in LIFE DEFENCE SPF 30/50, LIP DEFENCE and BODY DEFENCE SPF30.
The UVB filters in LIFE DEFENCE are Octyocrylene, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate & Ethylhexyl Salicylate
UVB rays do not penetrate the skin as deeply as UVA rays. The intense energy from UVB rays is spread over the upper layers of the skin and can cause more damage. UVB rays are the primary cause of skin reddening, sunburn and photoaging. Found in LIFE DEFENCE SPF 30/50, LIP DEFENCE and BODY DEFENCE SPF30.
Rocket Extract
Rich in isothiocyanates which help to counter the effects of free radicals. It also has powerful soothing, anti-redness and antioxidant properties. Found in LIFE DEFENCE SPF 30/50.
Ginseng Root Extract
Derived from the roots of the Withania Somnifera plant this organic extract has been used in traditional medicine for millennia. It's proven to protect against blue light exposure & digital pollution which is known to cause additional environmental stress to the mitochondria (our skin cells energy bank) which play a key role in maintaining healthy skin cells. Found in LIFE DEFENCE SPF 30/50.
Vitamin E
An antioxidant ingredient which helps protect cells from damage and environmental pollutants. Antioxidants fight against the oxidant effect of free radicals (molecules that damage collagen and accelerate the ageing process). Found in LIFE DEFENCE SPF 30/50 and LIP DEFENCE.
Pro-Vitamin B5
The natural oils & lipids, it contains create a protective barrier on the skin to prevent transepidermal water loss. Found in SIMPLY THE ZEST.
