What Is It?

BODY DEFENCE SPF30 is an advanced formula that rapidly sinks into the skin, giving great hydration whilst providing a high level of broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection. Safeguarding your skin from the sun’s harmful rays, damaging free radicals, environmental pollution, and daily skin stress sounds like a lot of hard work, but this product takes care of it all for you. Its creamy, lotion texture is easy to apply and instantly melts to moisturise and soften the skin, while the silky, non-greasy after-feel provides comfort and protection.

The UVA filter in BODY DEFENCE SPF30 is Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane.

UVA rays are 30 to 50 times stronger than UVB rays. They are known to cause damage at all levels of the epidermis resulting in premature skin ageing and are a contributor of deep lines and wrinkles.

The UVB filters in BODY DEFENCE SPF30 are Octyocrylene, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate & Ethylhexyl Salicylate.

UVB rays do not penetrate the skin as deeply as UVA rays. The intense energy from UVB rays is spread over the upper layers of the skin and can cause more damage. UVB rays are the primary cause of skin reddening, sunburn and photoaging.

BODY DEFENCE SPF30 fragrance blend:

Cyclamen: Adds a subtle, fresh floral scent with aqueous undertones capturing the essence of a garden at dawn.
Blackcurrant: A strong fruity-floral fragrance with a green note to create thoughts of earthiness.
Jasmine: An intense floral aroma which has hints of honey and green freshness.
Plum: A rich and juicy scent with deep, sweet notes which is reminiscent of walking through an orchard.
Iris: A light and powdery scent which has earthy undertones like a dew-kissed floral meadow.
Sandalwood: A silky, sweet, delicate woodiness that imparts a rich, warm feeling of comfort.

Vitamin E

An antioxidant ingredient which helps protect cells from damage and environmental pollutants. Antioxidants fight against the oxidant effect of free radicals (molecules that damage collagen and accelerate the ageing process).
